Hydratec completes the sale of Helvoet
AMERSFOORT – Hydratec Industries NV, has announced the sale of Helvoet Polymer Technologies BV to Kimball Electronics.
Transfer to Kimball Electronics
As a result of the strategic reorientation of Helvoet Polymer Technologies BV, Hydratec Industries NV will today transfer 100% of the shares of Helvoet Polymer Technologies BV to Kimball Electronics. The transaction includes entities of Helvoet in The Netherlands and India. Kimball Electronics is a publicly listed company headquartered in Jasper, Indiana, United States. Over the past few years Kimball has continued to build on its reputable position as a customer focused, high-quality, high-reliability contract manufacturer headquartered in the U.S. with a European shared services entity in the Netherlands and manufacturing sites in 6 countries, serving the medical and automotive markets.
Strategy for growth
Today’s market, customers are looking for highly technical, industry-specific manufacturing services and global support for the complete product lifecycle. Customers are requiring more integration between plastics and electronics. They are also looking for broader support in their go-to-market strategies which may include design, technology, and regulatory support. The U.S. footprint and expertise in electronics are differentiators that will accelerate Helvoet’s growth. This strategic combination of Helvoet and Kimball would enhance their collective ability to provide best-in-class manufacturing services to customers in Europe, the U.S. and worldwide.
Financial Impact
Together with the divestment of the European Mobility activities as announced on 30 March 2026 this divestment involves EUR 75,7 M of revenues 2025, with an EBITDA contribution of EUR 9,9 million. The total sale reflects an enterprise value of EUR 92,3 million (excluding working capital, other customary adjustments, and acquisition-related costs).
